Valley Hardscapes was founded in 2014 by Nick Martzahl with a simple goal — to bring people together in the outdoors with beautiful, well-built outdoor spaces. Starting from a small rental lot, Nick’s vision and dedication quickly earned Valley Hardscapes a reputation with his clients for exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful design. With the belief that our work and relationships spoke the loudest for the company, Valley Hardscapes grew entirely through word of mouth. This is a testament to the trust and satisfaction of our clients. Many of our clients not only recommended us, but also became our friends along the way.
As demand grew, so did the company. In 2022, Valley Hardscapes took an exciting step forward by purchasing a commercial property in Appleton, WI — a significant milestone that reflects years of hard work and strong client relationships. Now, in May 2025, we are beginning construction on that property, creating a new space that will allow us to better serve our clients and continue expanding the possibilities for outdoor living.
